REGISTRATION
You have to be a registered user to access all the functionalities on DaftSMS portal. To register, simply click on the register link on the top menu to navigate to the registration page. On the registration page kindly fill the form appropriately and click the register button.


LOGIN INTO YOUR ACCOUNT
You can log into your account from the home page. Just simply enter your username and password in the login section and click the login button.


RESETTING YOUR PASSWORD
As a user, do not panic when you cant gain access into your account because you forgot your password. Just click on the forgot password link, then enter your email account on DaftSMS in the space provided. An email will be sent to you shortly containing a reset link. Follow this link to reset your password. NOTE: The reset link will be available for 24hrs.


ADDRESS BOOK
Utilising the address book in the user section is the most organized way to use DaftSMS. In this section you can either add single contacts or group contacts.

To add single contacts, click on the contacts option on the address book home page and then click the add contact button. Here you have two methods you can use to add contacts: the manual entry and the bulk entry. The manual entry method requires you to enter the contact name and the phone number with or without '234', while the bulk entry method will require you to download the excel template so as to know how to arrange your numbers accordingly in order to be accepted by the portal, then uploading the file after editing.

To add group contacts, click on the group contacts option on the address book home page and then click the add group contact button. Here you have two methods you can use to add contacts: the manual entry and the bulk entry. The manual entry method requires you to enter the contact name and the phone numbers with or without '234' separated by a comma or arranged line by line, while the bulk entry method will require you to download the excel template so as to know how to arrange your numbers accordingly in order to be accepted by the portal, and also entering the group name, then uploading the file.

NOTE: You can also edit and delete records using this module.


SENDING SMS
To send a sms 3 fields are required: the sender ID, the recipients and the message. For the sender ID, you can enter upto 11 characters for alpha numeric inputs and upto 18 characters for numeric inputs. You can enter recipients by using one of the three methods available: the copy and past/type method or address book mehod or the upload method. Then enter the message to be sent and click send.

To schedule a sms to be sent in the future 3 fields are also required: the sender ID, the recipients and the message. Then under the others section select the date_time object and choose the date and time you want your message to be sent, then click the send button.

To draft(save) a message for future use 3 fields are also required: the sender ID, the recipients and the message. Then click the 'save as draft' button.

NOTE: To receive a report of the message to be sent via sms, you tick the send report as sms control before completing transactions.


TRANSFER SMS CREDIT
Goto the transfer page by clicking the transfer link on the side menu in the user area. Here you are required to enter the quantity to be transfered and the username of the recipient then click the transfer button.


VIEWING REPORTS
You can view activity reports by selecting the appropriate link from the side menu in the user area.


BUYING SMS CREDIT
SMS credit is required to send SMS. There are two payment methods available on DaftSMS: Bank payment method and Online payment method. To buy credit, log into your account on DaftSMS and navigate to the 'buy sms credit' page by clicking the 'buy sms credit' link on the side menu in the user area. The first step to take here is to select the payment method you want to use. After payment your account will be credited in less than 30Min.


CHECKING ACCOUNT BALANCE AND RESERVED CREDIT
To check this info, simply log into your account's home page to view. Reserved credit is the credit reserved for sending pending schedule messages.


CHANGING YOUR PASSWORD
For a password change, navigate to the password page by clicking on the 'change password' link on the side menu.
